Today on yard duty the girls were complaining about their heavy winter uniforms as the sun was out and the air was warm again. I realised it was spring, only a day late. Tonight I noticed my purple tulips had flowered and I appreciated the gift for the third year.
Below is a picture of the beautiful flowers I received from Darin last week. Despite having an annoyingly overwhelming day at work (politics, not kids), spring and the flowers make me feel grateful for what is real in my life. Last night we had the kids and it was hectic because I had to go to a function at school but when all the coming and goingwas done, I enjoyed my time with them. It really is a treat to have small children around again.
