Full Moon in Aquarius – Monday 26th July 2010
It’s not an eclipse or anything major, yet this full moon packs something as you would know if you read astrogrrls take on it. The other site I recomment is as usual Lynda’s. One day soon I will share with you all my dawning truths. Aquarius, what can I say? I find them all different, it is the one star sign I find it difficult to say anything about to be honest. I guess they are unpredictable.
I had a beautiful weekend with the kids. I enjoyed going to the park and watching the karate kid trilogy, well up to halfway through number 3 anyway, with them. They are such fun to be with. I feel very blessed to share their lives.
Mum and dad are heading back to the northern part of the country for the sun and warmth and I caught up with them today so dad could tease me:-)
All is well in my world.

Full Moon in Capricorn – Lunar Eclipse – Saturday 26th June 2010
The effects of this eclipse as previously mentioned are already being felt. Julia – enough said! Our principal who also has red hair was quick to point that connection out yesterday.
I have seen a lot of people feeling this eclipse, overwrought and fragile, possibly coinciding with the end of the semester as well for us here at school.
My own personal cataclysmic event is the loss of my laptop. I am annoyed at myself because yet again, I haven’t kept an up to date back up! When I am I going to learn. I was just saying to a student while I was on retreat that when I lost my last laptop it was like losing a friend. Ouch…
So I plan to replace it and somehow recover what I can and put my detached memory back into place. I am intensely irritated by this though.
Linda Hill’s Sabian Symbols warns of quite a bit going on, so take care out there.
I am not sure when I will post again. I’m inclined to take a break from being online. Maybe just for a week?

New Moon in Gemini – Saturday 12th June 2010
Feeling tired? I am, and having spent the day with other teachers correcting and pushing out reports I’ve been surrounded by others who feel the same. It’s also really cold so I guess that adds to the desire to lie around and be warm. I read on Mystic Medusa: Moon Wonk
“The more sparkling the prospects of the New Moon coming, the darker the Moon beforehand”
That being the case, this one should sparkle, cause I’ve been tired, cold, sick and cranky this week.
Lynda Hills Sabian Symbols: Celebrating The Providence Of The Earth: June’s Gemini New Moon points to all the things that are to look forward to.
Spending this afternoon setting goals and now that my reports are finished, I’m feeling quite positive about the coming days and weeks, particularly since school holidays are only two weeks away.

Full Moon in Sagittarius – Thursday 27th May 2010
At 11ish tonight is the full moon, or it could be tomorrow. I’ve read conflicting reports. Anyway…. it’s full … it’s sag (so fire) and apparently going to reveal truths. Sorry to be brief!

New Moon in Taurus – Friday 14th May 2010
Rest up for the coming new moon tomorrow at 11.00ish. Get the goals out for this new moon. Mercury is going forward and according to Mystic Medusa: Coming Soon: The Quickening the coming time is going to be faster! Where does she get her brilliant images from ?
I think there has been a quickening with our local plumber. When you need a plumber to do something you want, you often wait weeks for them to have the time. Not this time when it involves a massive bill with nothing to show (well nothing other than waste effortlessly leaving the house – not such a small thing I guess…). I have perhaps taken sewerage for granted throughout my life! A phonecall Monday and they arrive this morning. As it is in the dark of the moon I hope that translates to an end to such annoying expences that leave me with no aesthetic pleasure.
It seems fitting that Astrogrrl says the Taurus New Moon is about issues of material security as that is a bit of a focus for me at present. I’ve been reading Frogdancer for a while now and she reminds me of the delicate balancing act of raising kids as a single parent. I was never as innovative and resourceful as she is though and I am inspired by her genius. I was more careful and conscious then. It’s as though the lack of orthodontist bills, school fees, reduced costs in general have made me think I have an endless pit or something. I never say no to myself these days and clearly… I ought to!

Full Moon in Scorpio – Wednesday 28th April 2010
Everything I’ve been reading about this Scorpio full moon talks about intimacy, transformation and intensity. It’s been a gradual thing also according to what I read and will last for a little while yet. Moonkissd’s post is a good read. Astrogrrl’s post this moon is about the transformative energy.
Tomorrow after work I’m helping the teachers at my school with blogging. I thought this time would never come when teachers at my school would show a genuine interest in using blogging as a tool in the classroom. When I started this blog back in 2005, I thought it would be great to use with students. I’ve had a dabble a couple of times over the years, with varying success. My original evangalistic approach has died down, but I will be interested to see what others do with it. I must admit I don’t put as much time into this blog as I once did. I still like to keep it for an occasional dabble though.
I had a great weekend. I spent Saturday catching up with a mate for a few drinks (I had intended returning the favour of helping her to paint, but we didn’t paint) and then Darin and I went out when he got home from work. We headed to town on Sunday, making our way to my brothers for the evening. Enjoyed a coffee with Wilma and Darryl on the way and checked out quite a few display homes for ideas. I want to get serious about improving things around my home this year, so it was great to check out what’s around in homes. We saw a couple of ideas we liked. What was really good was that we like the same things. I really hate compromise, it’s lovely to have similar taste as Darin.

New Moon in Aries – Wednesday 14th April 2010
The new moon in Aries is the beginning of the astrological year. Make your wishes accordingly. Lynda Hill’s Sabian Symbols for this moon has all the different things going on in the skies with various planets.
I have felt in a bit of a shadow these last few days. The weather has been cold. My house has seemed so empty, probably after Easter and all the activity. I’ve felt unmotivated, but today it has began to lift. Going back to school, worrying about Asha not having a placement (although she now has one) or missing Tom because I haven’t seen him for so long that phonecalls have become not enough. I always run through all the possible reasons. I think sometimes you just have to have those dullish days. I was amused to read Mystic Medusa’s post today “Dark Moon Montage”. It described the way I had been feeling, although I was over it and able to enjoy the description today.
I spoke to Ash tonight and was pleased to hear she had good news and a selection of placements. She also has been given tickets to Mama Mia from one of her employers who was pleased with her work.
I watched ‘New Moon’ tonight whilst Darin was at work. This time last year I was reading that series. I didn’t enjoy it as much as the first film, but it was ok.

Full Moon in Libra – Tuesday 30th March 2010
A full moon in Libra is going to be about relationships from what I read. Paulo Coelho had this great quote today on facebook :
In love, no one can harm anyone else; we are each of us responsible for our own feelings and cannot blame others for what we feel. That is the true experience of freedom: having the most important thing in the world without owning it. (Maria in “Eleven Minutes”).
That really resonated with me.
Astrogrrl has a good post about this moon, tying it in with the previous new moon. I always enjoy Lynda Hill’s Sabian Symbols for the moons. She is so thorough about all the things going on in the sky. There are so many good astrologers to read. I could spend all day doing it, especially when I’m on holidays.
I have a full Easter ahead with Darin’s parents and children coming here. I am pretty excited to have a full house, especially for chocolate season! I had better get off the couch and computer, stop lying around reading and eating delicious risotto Darin made for me today and clean the house tomorrow:-).

New Moon in Pisces – Tuesday 16th March 2010
At 8ish in the morning the moon is new in Pisces. Pisces is a water sign that is intuitive and creative. My moon as well as Saturn are in Pisces. Pisceans are generally sensitive, imaginative types who can behave with compassion. I am reflecting on my goals for this new moon tonight.
I’ve read some positive predictions about this coming new moon. Everything I’ve been reading suggests wishes coming true. Lynda Hill’s notes on facebook mentions a need to let go of the negative things in your life. It’s always good to do that I guess, but this is perhaps a supportive time to do that. She goes on to discuss all that’s going on in the skies and it’s a lengthy but interesting article that I imagine will also appear on her blog.
I have let go of my study. I gave it a go, but ultimately there was one interesting subject and one very dull one. The course was expensive compared to what training I could get with those dollars and I really couldn’t justify putting in the time and money, for the return. I am biased against Uni courses to be honest. It’s so random. One of my subjects had a lecturer that I really respected and who put a lot of time and effort into supporting the learning. The other one seemed to create hurdles to get in the way of learning and that one, frustrated me too much. The problem is that one unit on it’s own isn’t really worth much. So after a lot of thinking this last week. I pulled the plug.

Full Moon in Virgo – Monday 1st March 2010
The full moon in Virgo falls on Monday in Australia. It’s probably a good thing with Virgo being all about minding the details and attending to all the analytical aspects. Mondays are better for that kind of thing don’t you think? It just doesn’t seem to me like a suitable full moon day… Monday! Naturally there are a lot of other things going on in the skies as you can read in the posts I’ve listed.
Kelly Surtees: Full Moon in Virgo advises a weekend of decluttering. I have taken her advice to some degree and replaced a ragged and torn holland blind over my kitchen sink with a venetian blind. It looks great. I’ve also put a lot of things away such as a weeks laundry.
Astrogrrl: Full Moon in Virgo has links to which house will be affected by this moon. I have continued listening to Carolyn Myss and am now enjoying the recording of ‘Sacred Contracts’ in which she talks more about archetypes and relates them to to the houses in astrology. I am enjoying learning more about both.
Lynda Hills Sabian Symbols post for the Full Moon in Virgo contains this quote “We don’t see things as they are. We see them as we are. Anais Nin”. I think this is one of the quotes I want to keep in mind for Monday. I’ve already had some insights into this reality lately. I watched a film last night “The Soloist”. I recommend it.
