Full Moon in Aquarius – Sunday 14th August 2011

In the early hours of Sunday morning, the moon will be full in Aquarius. It was under a cover of cloud tonight when we ventured out for dinner, but I’m guessing it’s large under there.

Today has been relaxing.

Full Moon in Capricorn – Friday 15th July 2011

What no eclipse? Yes, this is an eclipse free moon. Looks full already! There are some other alignments that are ‘ones to watch’ and Linda Hill’s post on this moon, highlights the sabian symbols activated. Jessica has an excellent suggestion in her post, Inhale your Authority Spell and since reading it I’ve been questioning my authority. It’s a good thing to claim your responsibility in your situations. It gives you power to stay, leave, change or just think about things in a different way. It really struck a chord with me.

My favourite astrological post today was from Mystic Medusa, Era Shifting. Nothing at all really to do with this full moon. I believe quite relevant now, what do you think?

There are a lot of changes happening in the world right now. I was checking out this site last night (due to it’s association with Megan from The Junk Wave a blogging friend) about an RTO in Cairns, MOM Training College.  It looks like a very exciting educational space with plenty of innovative projects and quite a different philosophy from the RTO’s I’m familiar with. I like it. I think that kind of reframing of institutions is wonderful.

I feel quite interested in following some of the things that are emerging from all the crisis’s going on. I agree with MM, I don’t subscribe to the whole end of the world stuff either. It’s clear things are changing so perhaps it is the end of the world as we’ve known it. Thinking that the world is going to end is a cop out and it’s time to get busy making a world that works better now, even if it is just your own world.

I’ve tried Google+ this week. It’s ok. Quiet really. Interesting to watch how people approach the new space. Some are jumping right in creating huge networks. I can see some advantages to having seperate circles so as to keep relevant to different areas of your life. I haven’t plunged right into the learning curve yet though. I have also been reminded about of tumblr this week. A student started a blog there and added me to it. There are very few people from my other circles on Tumblr. It’s interesting and a new space. I think I am more interested in exploring my tumblr right now than Google+. I notice that it’s just so easy to go to facebook or google because there are links to them everywhere. We think the internet is so random, yet our advertising is targeted and there are clearly some online companies that have created such a presence that they are almost unavoidable. I

I have so much to say today, I’ve had a full and interesting day. I might tell you about the rest tomorrow:)

mystic medusa’s soul mating

I read this book recently, well not cover to cover, but the bits that were relevant to me. It is based on what sign your Psyche and Eros asteroids are in and reveals what attracts as well as how different combinations blend. It considers Sun Signs in the mix and was quite revealing and interesting. Even if you don’t know the exact time of birth, you can consult this. Many people don’t which leaves a gap in the chart usually in relation to the Ascendent and possibly faster moving heavenly bodies like the moon.

I love the way Mystic Medusa writes as I have repeated on my blog many times. I particularly enjoyed the chapter entitled ‘Love in a logical climate’. It’s so true, we are led to be suspicious of love and MM calls that out.

She says ‘True romance turns life back into a fairytale for grown-ups. Falling in love not only feels magical, it elebates our entire being. The euphoric ideal of happy ever after sustains us through the peaks and (yes!) lows of everyday loving.’

Full Moon in Taurus – Monday 22nd November 2010

It’s another full moon. My favourite post on this one is by Mystic Medusa, probably because it’s brief and I get it. They are whizzing by and I am just noticing how little I am blogging between them. I should perhaps just stop altogether.

. Went to see Metallica. It was great. I enjoyed the company and the event. The photo is of a man clinging to a pole in front of us. The crowd were well behaved and it was tamer than I expected a metal concert to be. I have other photos from Amanda but haven’t had time to check them out properly.

We take over our shop this week. It’s all very busy right nowI have been tired today, recovering. So that is all for now.

After the rush

Last week was really busy. Evening meetings at school, expo, the concert and the day to day life that has to be squeezed in between. The weekend continued to be fast and lots happened. Today I was back at school, having a rest.

My weekend was a mixture of things. I enjoyed the company of friends who came round for dinner on Saturday night. Darin prepared it all for me to feed them cause he was at work. I can’t say how amazing it is to have him at times like that. It was delicious and there was debate, laughter, gossip and it was good to be social.

My parents came home to see my very sick uncle who has fortunately made a great recovery. I was worried then relieved. I got to see them. Darin and I took advantage of some JB Hi Fi browsing and wandering through display homes when we delivered their car to them.

I think Mystic Medusa was right about that Zap Zone. I love the image in this post Apres Zap Zone.

One of the DVDs I bought at JB was ‘Breaking Bad’. It’s facinating in a frightening way.

A Midwinter Night’s Dream

It doesn’t have the same ring to it as a midsummer night does it? Ah well the good thing about the Winter Solstice is that we are heading in the right direction now… towards longer, warmer, lighter days. If you want to read a lengthy detailed horoscope about the solstice (one that actually acknowledges it is winter in Australia even) go to Michael Lutin. *link only lasts this week though!

I have been having quite vivid dreams lately and this morning one of the year 12′s shared a particularly ridiculous dream she’d had starring me as a vegetarian. It must be dream season.

There is an eclipse heading our way and the vibe is around already according to the astrolgers I’m reading. Mystic Medusa: To Do Before the Eclipse Baggage Blitz expresses in her minimalist and take it or leave style that I love how to manage it all. In other messages I recall we need to expect others to be frazzled and handle them with care. A bit of ‘expect the unexpected’ has also been mentioned about the traps.
